Fascinating book on Cannabinoids and Epilepsy.

Fascinating book on Cannabinoids and Epilepsy.

Proving through research what I have witnessed in my clients.

The facts I found the most interesting, and important being:

The 2016 Israel large-scale study showed an 89% reduction in seizure frequency in the children studied - but only when these factors were correct:

-Correct Dosage

-Correct Frequency

-Correct CBD Format

BUT one of the most overlooked factors - these results were only present AFTER 3 months at correct dosage, frequency and format.

Why is this so important?

Because after a few weeks and/or months of not a lot of change in seizure frequency- many families become disheartened, and give up too soon without knowing a breakthrough is just around the corner.

Most children who have seizures have a Clinical Endocannabinoid Deficiency, and this is not a quick thing to remedy, it can take many months at a high-dosage of Cannabinoids to balance.

Another note that is confirmed in this book is the need for the CBD and THC ratio. CBD Isolate is simply not strong enough, and does not offer the Entourage Effect (the symbiotic force of combining all of the Cannabinoids together) to combat seizures. CBD is typically 0.3% THC and this is enough, combined with the other cannabinoids to help most children who suffer from seizures.

Another thing to note is that dosage and frequency is extremely important, and unfortunately there is no "one size fits all" for dosage and frequency.

One Mum of a young teen daughter I worked with - we discovered together that she actually needed to double her dose for a full week before her period to keep her seizure free through her cycle.

And this has kept her seizure free through 9 cycles, where previously she had not been able to achieve this through medication, and then through the wrong dose of CBD.
