Chronic Pain and Full Spectrum Oil

Full Spectrum Oil & Chronic Pain:

We have a lot of our members using Full Spectrum Oil for chronic pain. I wanted to explain a bit more about how Full Spectrum can help.

Chronic pain is characterised by pain that lasts longer than 3 months. It is pain that does not go away as expected after an injury, illness or disease.

Chronic pain leads to sleep issues, weakened immune system and can lead to low-mood, fear, anxiety, stress and diminished career & social opportunities.

1 in 6 New Zealanders live with chronic pain.

Chronic pain can range from mild to severe and can continue day after day, or be intermittent.

Chronic pain is thought to occur when nerves become over-sensitive and send warning messages to the brain even when there is no injury, or the original injury causing pain has healed.

Types of Chronic Pain can include:

Cancer pain Fibromyalgia Headaches or Migraines Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) or other digestive and gut issues Back vertebrae muscular pain Multiple sclerosis Neuropathic pain Osteoarthritis or arthritis pain Temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ) Post surgery or post accident pain

The first thing to note when it comes to the Oil and Chronic pain is the importance of the Oil format.

There are 3 formats - Cull Spectrum, Broad Spectrum & Isolated, and the importance of "Full Spectrum Oil" to combat pain. There are over 400+ compounds found in the hemp plant.

Broad Spectrum & Isolate Oil will not work for chronic pain - they do not offer the "entourage effect" that only the Full Spectrum Oil offers.

The Entourage Effect is the 400 plant compounds working together synergistically to produce the strongest, and most effective healing on the endocannabinoid system (ECS)

Research conducted in the US in 2020 shows that Full Spectrum Oil benefits chronic pain, and will also improve sleep, and reduce inflammation for those suffering from chronic pain.

The Researchers compiled the results of multiple systematic reviews covering over 20 trials and studies done in 2020. Their research concluded that there is substantial evidence that Oil is an effective treatment for chronic pain in adults.

Full Spectrum Oil implements it's pain-relieving effects with interactions in the endocannabinoid, inflammatory, and nociceptive (pain sensing) systems. The endocannabinoid system consists of cannabinoid receptors that interact with our own naturally occurring cannabinoids. This system is involved in regulating functions including mood and pain perception.

If we look at history, the use of hemp and cannabis medicinally for pain relief dates back at least 4,000 years (some say 10,000 years!) It has only been in the last 100 years that humans have placed regulations and laws around the use and sale of this plant.

How to take Full Spectrum Oil for Chronic pain?

When taking Full Spectrum Oil for chronic pain - it is important to get the correct dosage. Your dosage will be higher than the average user. You may need 20+ drops per day depending on your weight and other factors - please see dosage guide here www.hormonehealthnutritionist.com/dosage

Full Spectrum Oil can also be applied topically to pain. You can add it to your bath, or mix it with MCT coconut oil and apply directly to skin and pain points.

I would also give it time. Give the oil at least 2 months of daily internal usage before deciding if it is right for you. The research shows that the 2 month mark is where most chronic pain sufferers see the biggest improvements with Full Spectrum Oil. It does not work in the same way that codeine or paracetamol work to relieve pain.

There may also be a 'healing crisis'. A healing crisis is when an issue or pain gets worse before it gets better. This is a very common and natural effect of the healing of your ECS and other systems in your body.
